LuingA very hardy breed which cope well with harsh climates on rough ground. The breed was developed in the 1940s on the Island of Luing by crossing Highlands and Shorthorns. They are bred for extensive conditions and required little supplementary feeding, and are hard to beat in terms of feed conversion efficiency. They produce a highly marbled carcase of high grade
