HighlandAn extremely hardy and intelligent breed best suited to living outdoors, having a double coat, the outer of which is waterproof. Has an extensive ranging behaviour which lends the breed to being a good grazer of coarse vegetation on large sites - Highlands form territories and may travel miles in one day.

Tolerant to the most adverse weather conditions, including driving rain and extreme cold. One of the smaller breeds (average weight 400kg) which produces a high quality meat which is highly marketable.
