
Cattle Breeds
Choosing the right breed for specific sites and individual farm enterprise is not a simple process. Each site is unique in terms of its soils and vegetation communities and site specific conservation management is often required.
To aid help direct people to the appropriate information on breed attributes is provided. In general cattle are less selective graziers than sheep or equines and are ideal for removing long coarse grass growth - as they use their tongues to pull vegetation a tussocky structure is produced.
