Purple Moor Grass & Rush Pasture
These are wet meadows or pastures containing a species-rich mixture of grasses (especially purple moor grass Molinia caerula), sedges, herbs and mosses.

This type of habitat is extremely rare in the Yorkshire Dales National Park only occurring in one or two locations in the Limestone Country. Rich examples of this plant community are striking in appearance as the can include marsh valerian, devil's-bit scabious, globeflower, great burnet and marsh hawk's-beard.
